Parish/School Gym Protocols

COVID protocols will be implemented at the parish/school level for the girls volleyball season.  Please familiarize yourself with the different protocols at all match sites.  We are only listing those that have notified the league. Please click on the name of the parish/school to view protocols

  1. Please wait until previous games are finished before entering the gym.
  2. All players must wear a mask entering and exiting the building but may take them off during play.
  3. Athletes on the bench either need to maintain appropriate spacing (6 feet) or be masked.
  4. Masks required for those unvaccinated.
  5. No spectator limit.
  1. Everyone entering the building must wear a mask.  Players can remove their masks once they are on the court.
  2. All spectators should utilize the bleachers to ensure social distancing from others

  1. The St. Veronica Boosters request that all spectators attending St. Veronica home games and/or practices wear a mask while inside St. Veronica.
  2. We request that coaches wear a mask when in close contact with players.
  3. Players will need to wear a mask inside the building until they are on the court participating in a sport or practice.
  4. We ask that any player, coach, or spectator that is not feeling well, please not attend games or practices.
Summit has a long list of protocols. Please be familiar with them if your team is playing at their facility.

PLAYERS
  1. Masks are REQUIRED upon entry into the gym. Players must be masked when not warming up or playing; this includes player introductions, time outs as well as during the game when not on the court.
  2. No handshaking or high-fiving before, during or after matches
  3. Players must be social distancing unless they are physically warming up on the court
  4. Players need to bring their own water bottle
SPECTATORS
  1. ALL volleyball spectators (vaccinated or not) must wear a mask inside the gym
  2. Must conduct COVID-19 symptom check before arrival
  3. Must always practice social distancing (3 ft between all individual spectators)
  4. Family members should sit together and remain at least 3 ft. away from the nearest spectator
  5. Away spectators must sit on away (north) side
  6. All Summit spectators must sit on the home (south) side
  7. A public restroom will be available in the hallway
  8. All AWAY spectators must have a ticket for entry into the gym
COACHES
  1. Masks are REQUIRED for all coaches
  2. Coaches must always monitor and manage their players
  3. Coaches must conduct symptom checks of athletes and coaches before arriving for games
  4. Coaches are always expected to be masked and socially distanced
  5. Coaches will clean benches with disinfectant after each game. Gloves, disinfectant spray, and paper towels for cleaning will be provided as well as hand sanitizer
GAME PROCEDURE NOTES
  1. Move pre-match conference to center of court with 1 coach on each side of the net
  2. Suspend the use of the coin toss to determine serve/receive. The visiting team will serve first in set 1 and alternate the first serve for the remainder of the non-deciding set.
  3. Suspend roster submission at the pre-match conference. Rosters are submitted directly to the officials table before the 10-minute mark
  4. Suspend the protocol of teams switching benches.
  5. Substitutions should occur with social distancing recommendations
